Blackpool Tower is a tourist attraction in Blackpool, Lancashire, which was opened to the public on 14th May 1894. Inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris, it is 518 feet (158 metres) tall. Blackpool Tower is also the common name for the Tower Buildings, an entertainment complex in a red-brick three-storey block that comprises the tower, Tower Circus, Tower Ballroom and more, which was designated a Grade I listed building in 1973.

There are four machines at the Blackpool Tower. Two are at the top of the Tower, one is on level 3 of the Tower Buildings and the fourth is on level 5 of the Tower Buildings. All of the machines are pre-loaded with a hopper of pennies and cost £1 each.

The below machine numbering matches that on other penny collecting websites, with machines 1 to 4 being retired ones not listed on here.

Machine 5

The machine on level 3 features four designs, however the label on the design selector gear for one of them has been removed, presumably to discourage use because that design rolled short when tried during my visit on the 6th May 2019.

Designs are:
1) Blackpool Tower Ballroom - Three pairs of dancers.
2) Blackpool Tower Circus - Tower Circus Logo.
3) Blackpool - Donkey on Beach with Blackpool Tower in Background.
4) The Blackpool Tower - Image of Blackpool Tower. * Note - No label on selector gear for this design although die remains in the machine. Penny rolled short on visit 6th May 2019, cutting off the text at the bottom *

This machine is located on level 3 of the Tower Buildings, near the entrance to the Ballroom. When entering the Tower Buildings from the Promenade, go up the stairs or the lift to the right of the main doors and the machine is towards the top of the stairs alongside the lift on level 3.

Machine 6

One of two machines at the top of the Tower. Was told by a member of staff that they are still there, but I didn t go up to find them on this visit.

Machine 7

The machine on level 5 also features four designs.

Designs are:
1) Blackpool - Open-top Double Deck Streamlined Tram.
2) The Blackpool Tower - Blackpool Tower from a Distance.
3) The Blackpool Tower Eye - Tower Eye Logo.
4) The Blackpool Tower Ballroom - Tower Ballroom Logo. 

This machine is located on level 5 of the Tower Buildings, near the entrance to Jungle Jims. When entering the Tower Buildings from the Promenade, go up the stairs or the lift to the right of the main doors and the machine is towards the top of the stairs alongside the lift on level 5 (pretty much directly above current machine 5 location).

One of two machines at the top of the Tower. Was told by a member of staff that they are still there, but I didn t go up to find them on this visit.
