The name “Zion” means a place of peace and refuge. As a sanctuary with over 146,000 acres of cliffs, canyons, diverse plant and animal life, and uninterrupted beauty, Zion is well-named. Its massive sandstone walls, some as high as 3,800 feet, offer an opportunity for serenity and reflection for all who visit. Zion Lodge offers the only in-park lodging inside this hiker’s paradise.
An entrance fee into the park is required if you drive or walk. Private vehicle: $25, motorcycle: $12, walking entry per person: $12. All are valid for 7 days.
Fee free days are January 20 - Martin Luther King Jr. Day, February 15-17 - President s Day Weekend, April 19 & 20 - Weekend of National Park Week, August 25 - National Park Service Day, September 27 - National Public Lands Day, November 11 - Veterans Day.
Hours of operation vary, check the website.
You can drive up to the Lodge ONLY if you are a guest at the Lodge. You can take the free shuttle to the lodge from the visitor center once you are inside the park. There is free parking at the Lodge for guests and at the visitor center once you are inside the park.
