This machine has NOT been removed. There are many campgrounds in the area - this machine is located in the General store in the National Park itself, near North Campground. The store is about 2 miles inside the park, then go left. Lodge is nearby. Go through the front door and it is about midway on the North Wall.

The Bryce Canyon General Store sells the "Peaks, Plateaus & Canyons of the Colorado Plateau Collectible Token Album," which is similar in size and style to a smashed penny collecting book. Although made to collect pewter national park tokens (about the size of a nickel but slightly domed on the front and back), I found that the plastic pockets easily accommodate smashed pennies. All the pennies, as well as a few tokens, from my recent trip fit nicely into the book -- creating a nice souvenir.

Just received the United States Penny Collector book for the smashed pennies from Penny Collector. Perfect fit now!
